Today was interesting. Very interesting. I got offered a new job that I'm not going to take. TIAL. Let's just end it at that. It's funny Joe and Anne Hathaway and they all said no as well. TIAL. lol.
I can do a handstand on my own! Apparently I've been doing it on my own this whole time and they didn't want me to freak out that I was doing it by myself. But yes I can do a handstand on my own and I can do a bridge and turn that bridge into a handstand, and I can do handstand jumping jacks and handstand push-ups. IT'S AWESOME! Joe and I got to race on desks in a lecture hall and whoever could do it within 30 seconds didn't have to do laps afterwards. The whole exercise was to teach us to be agile and to run on our toes which is apparently what our characters are known for, being agile. I, of course, won because I am the "honestly one of the best I've ever worked with, you learn all the moves so quickly and you're just naturally a very aggressive and passionate person, we could really use a person like you" -Chris Nolan When he said that I wanted to cry it was so nice, but he said it during an interesting time. Still pumped on being gymnastical.
Not a word. Whatever. Julian is really happy for me and since we're so busy it's easy to live without him, however when I'm bored and alone...that's when I'm at my worst. This movie is awesome for me! I've been sketching recently...what does this mean...

Day 3 {Movie}
I just got the word that were will officially begin filming on September 14th! And that Joe's gonna be our second host for SNL. It's kind of a thank you to him putting me in the movie so I put him on the show. Friends help friends out. Work for the movie begins around 8AM everyday (mainly work for the leads on physical training) so Joe and I always get breakfast in the dinning court in 30 Rock a little before that and we had our friend Wally Pfister (the cinematographer for this movie) come eat breakfast with us and (of course) he just happened to have his camera with him! So Joe and I were fooling around and goofing off and he filmed it and we're pretty sure it's going to go into the DVD extras...who knows. Here's a bit of it: (by the way in the movie we are always butting heads)

Day 2 {Movie}
Today is Wednesday! Today I got to work with my physical trainer, Enrique! He's really cool, very flexible, and is going to be teaching me gymnastics and fighting for the movie! Woo! Alright that's enough exclamation points. Anywho, Chris really likes people doing their own stunts so I'm going to have to work very hard to get these just right. My hardest move is a backhand spring into a handstand then a push up on the handstand then I push off into another backhand spring but instead of sticking the landing (which I will have to do in another move) I land sideways on a pillar and push off into someone. YEAH IT'S A LOT. I wish I could find a video of something like it...hold on. Searching.

Day 1 {Movie}
This post is for Tuesday.
First day of work for the movie! We didn't do any filming but I got to try on my costume (which is absolutely ridiculous by the way) got my hair GLOSSED not dyed. Which was really cool cause I kind of didn't want to ruin my never dyed hair but I was willing to dye it but the character I'm portraying has reddish brown hair so the gloss will just tint it. Now my hair is reddish brown! And I get color contacts so I now have blue eyes as well. Very exciting!
God I miss Jules. Everyday it's like a battle for me to even get up because I know Julian's not going to be by my side and do things with me. Today I skyped him thrice and it was wonderful and we still love each other just the same as we did when he left but there's still that longing to just touch him. Not even sexually or anything like that, to join hold his hand or touch his cheek, ah, it'd be blissful. One day they'll make skype have portals and I'll be able to touch him then. Someday, I was just born in the wrong era.

and introducing... CHRISTINA ESSENELLE
The sky's the limit...no wait the stars...is there a limit?
I've honestly never felt so accomplished in my entire life. Everyday I used lived in poverty and hardship, I lived a life of crime and filth. I would steal, lie, cheat, and do anything to get food, water, and proper shelter for myself and my family/friends. I thought when I first met Seth Meyers and he brought me to Alaska with the original (original to me) SNL cast that that was the greatest thing that would ever happen to me. I got a new life with new people and more importantly, a new home. Made new friends, met Jules, and for the first time ever I was just worried about myself and not the 14 other kids around me. When I got signed on for a featured role in The Mighty Boosh and in The I.T. Crowd I thought then that those shows were the best that I could do, the experiences I got from those two shows were incomparable to any other occurrence I've ever experienced. I met Noel and Julian B. and Rich F., and Mike and got to be on the Graham Norton show and Never Mind the Buzzcocks with Trevor Moore another dear friend I still get coffee with to this day. And on I.T. Crowd I got to work with Rich A., and Chris and Matthew Berry the funniest human being alive to this day. BBC became home to me! Then came Broadway and my time on the big stage acting for thousands of people a week... And now after this crazy ride of SNL cast members leaving and myself writing scenes for SNL...I can officially call myself a movie star. That's right folks, Christina Essenelle just landed her first movie. And it's a big one.
I unfortunately cannot tell you what the movie is, what character I play, or what it's about, but I can tell you what other actors are in it, who directs it, and what type of character I play. So! I am the leading lady (for my first movie! I know!) with red hair (I'm dying my hair, I know I'm excited), Joe is the leading man, Matt Damon is the leading antagonist, Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, Hero Fiennes-Tiffin, Amandla Stenberg, and Jesse Eisenberg to name a few, director is Chris Nolan. My first movie is being directed by Chris Nolan, so, yes I am very excited.
I actually got tricked when first hearing that I got the part. On Sunday (today is Tuesday) I got the call from Chris (my audition was Thursday) that I did not get the part. I was devastated but cool, calm, and collected. It was understandable I mean, this was a big role and I'm just very inexperienced. He said that I did a very good audition though. So as I was walking home I called up Julian and Joe (me and my Js...) and said what happened and they were also upset, however, when I got back to my room Joe was waiting for me by the elevator and hugged me saying that it was okay that I was upset, and when he opened the door to my room a big "JUST KIDDING" erupted from the entourage of people that were there. The cast was there, the executives were there, that devil Chris was there! SNL people were there as well as Jimmy and Lorne and Amy and Tina...it was wonderful, all these people had come together just to congratulate me on my first big time job. Then we all were quiet as I skyped Julian on the big screen TV in the lounge/living room and he was so happy for me. All of the Strokes came out and said congratulations (even Nick) and...it was bliss. Joe shouted to Jules that I had to die my hair red and he was shocked at first but okay with it cause I could just die it back. Lorne was shaky on me doing this job but he knows more than anyone that I can handle two or three jobs at once! i.e. Broadway, SNL, and Boosh. It's been a lot of working getting to this point but I got to send a show out to my man Joe because without him I wouldn't even have gotten the job. It ended up being between myself and Emma Stone for the role and honestly Emma was a higher contender because she looks more like the characters (hair, eye, and age) but in the end it was the relationship between myself and Joe that made it more real for Chris to film. I cannot thank everyone enough for getting me to this point in my life.
I'm gonna be on the big screen ma!

Mimmy Mallon
Not sure if you saw last night's Late Night with Jimmy Fallon but Joe was on it! And since he was the first guest to come out we thought (since I live in the same building at Late Night) we pull a little shenanigans. Jimmy needs a little variety in his life he gets some boring guests who don't test his patience like we did. So we did like a puppet show, check it out if you want. Joe has Looper and Premium Rush coming out so he's been really busy with interviews and talk shows and what not. It's funny he's been pretty un-busy for the past year so it's weird that he's now all the sudden busy.
Today is a very special today. Today is my love and my everything's 34th birthday! And even though he is working hard in California with the boys...we arranged a special little meeting away from their practice location and I flew over there this early early morning and we got to spend a little time together. I've missed him so much and this little reunion is exactly what I needed. For his birthday we ate breakfast and walked along the beach and laid on the beach in each other's arms. Ah, I'm in love.

Anyways...
Now that that celebration is over, onto a new celebration, first episode of the SNL season will be on September 22nd! Musical guest and host is still TBA but no worries, the cat will be out of the bag soon enough (or when we have one!) I had a wonderful night last night, I hadn't done anything all day so I called Joe up and we ate dinner together and then had a few glasses of wine and watched the first episodes of the second season of Design Star. We had a lot of fun, I fell asleep after about midnight 30 and I'm not sure when Joe fell asleep but I kicked him awake about...15 minutes ago! (it's 12:44PM right now for your information) Now he's just lazing around my apartment and Design Star is still on. I love Design Star.
I'm not really doing anything today so email me some ideas!

Long Distance Can and Will Work
I truly believe that with all my heart. 23 months ladies. It's almost been 2 whole years. Joe (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) has been here hanging out with me, he's a nice guy follow his tumblr. Let's see what did I do today...I woke up at 9AMish then did nothing till around 11AM and I made ramen since I was out of cereal, I was going to make tea but I had no sugar so...no tea. Then I went to the book store and got a few books, tacks, and stickers. Then I went to the supermarker and got cereal and sugar...now I'm gonna go eat dinner with Nasim and Tina (but thats in a half hour) and after that we're watching Friends in Nasim's room. WOO! I'm not exactly sure what Joe is doing right now but I'm sure he's having fun.
And if Zooey is reading this; stop fucking texting him and leave him alone. Your friend-zone bullshit is annoying and no one thinks its cute you're torturing this poor man.
Anywho! My week has been chaotically busy, we've been having a NBC team building week so there have been teams from the different shows and what not (well not all the shows only The Office, Parks and Rec, SNL, The Today Show, and Community) and all the teams had team names and team themes;
SNL- Hahalarious- fairytale
The Today Show- Double Ts-dinosaurs
Community- Neighborhood-camping
The Office-CoffeeMate-traveling
Parks and Rec-The Destroyers-space
We've been doing lots of activities and have been getting lots of free stuff, it's been a lot of fun and I've actually met a bunch of new people. Since Kristen and Andy are gone our team was only 14 big (Taran, Christina, Nasim, Kate, Vanessa, Seth, Bill, Kenan, Fred , Jason, Bobby, Jay, Bobby, and Jimmy) and so us along with the Double Ts were pretty small groups. Fuckin' Parks and Rec was huge. They were the loudest and craziest with everything. So after the days went by Hahalarious got 4th place overall (1st place in attendance though!! and 3rd at the Dance off!) Double Ts got 5th place overall, Neighborhood got first place overall, CoffeeMate got 2nd place overall and The Detroyers were third overall and in congeniality CoffeeMate was the winner! Crazy fun, and theres more to come, night everyone

Soma
And boy do I need some soma. As you probably know The Strokes can't work in the city because of me probably and so they left for California a week ago. AND I AM DYING. Dying not only because of the mountains of work I have but because next week is the summer bash festival at NBC they have every year (I wasn't home for the last two) and it's a lot of planning for the older players and I'm writing a lot of next year's sketches because they asked me to because Seth has been away for a lot of this summer and I can write a mean scene. But Jules isn't here. And it breaks my heart cause I miss him. But I'll see him soon, September 28th is when I'll see him again. He'll be in NYC for that weekend and then I'm flying out to him the 6-9 of October. He's gone for so long because they're working on their next album and need to crank it out with no distractions.
And I have one coping mechanism. Joseph Gordon-Levitt. He's been in town for a while now because of the new Batman movie and he's been great! Yeah we've been just hanging out...went swimming today and walked around the city doing nothing special. He's funny, he's teaching me how to drive...since I do not know how. I'm pretty lame I know, but I did just get my permit!! WOO! That's pretty stellar. Then we went back to my place and watched Casablanca (I know...Jules) because I've never seen it before and that is of course a travesty by itself. He's a good dude, you'll be hearing a lot more about him soon.
