I am utterly and hopeless depressed. (not really) But, I just realized that Jules won't be home for his birthday. Which is really just the worst thing in the world, but I have a plan. I do! I do actually have a plan but it involves no one knowing about it especially The Strokes since I am banned from seeing them while they are working (they are in California right now). Anyways...

Now that that celebration is over, onto a new celebration, first episode of the SNL season will be on September 22nd! Musical guest and host is still TBA but no worries, the cat will be out of the bag soon enough (or when we have one!) I had a wonderful night last night, I hadn't done anything all day so I called Joe up and we ate dinner together and then had a few glasses of wine and watched the first episodes of the second season of Design Star. We had a lot of fun, I fell asleep after about midnight 30 and I'm not sure when Joe fell asleep but I kicked him awake about...15 minutes ago! (it's 12:44PM right now for your information) Now he's just lazing around my apartment and Design Star is still on. I love Design Star.

Long Distance Can and Will Work

I truly believe that with all my heart. 23 months ladies. It's almost been 2 whole years. Joe (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) has been here hanging out with me, he's a nice guy follow his tumblr. Let's see what did I do today...I woke up at 9AMish then did nothing till around 11AM and I made ramen since I was out of cereal, I was going to make tea but I had no sugar so...no tea. Then I went to the book store and got a few books, tacks, and stickers. Then I went to the supermarker and got cereal and sugar...now I'm gonna go eat dinner with Nasim and Tina (but thats in a half hour) and after that we're watching Friends in Nasim's room. WOO! I'm not exactly sure what Joe is doing right now but I'm sure he's having fun.

And if Zooey is reading this; stop fucking texting him and leave him alone. Your friend-zone bullshit is annoying and no one thinks its cute you're torturing this poor man.

Anywho! My week has been chaotically busy, we've been having a NBC team building week so there have been teams from the different shows and what not (well not all the shows only The Office, Parks and Rec, SNL, The Today Show, and Community) and all the teams had team names and team themes;

SNL- Hahalarious- fairytale
The Today Show- Double Ts-dinosaurs
Community- Neighborhood-camping
The Office-CoffeeMate-traveling
Parks and Rec-The Destroyers-space

We've been doing lots of activities and have been getting lots of free stuff, it's been a lot of fun and I've actually met a bunch of new people. Since Kristen and Andy are gone our team was only 14 big (Taran, Christina, Nasim, Kate, Vanessa, Seth, Bill, Kenan, Fred , Jason, Bobby, Jay, Bobby, and Jimmy) and so us along with the Double Ts were pretty small groups. Fuckin' Parks and Rec was huge. They were the loudest and craziest with everything. So after the days went by Hahalarious got 4th place overall (1st place in attendance though!! and 3rd at the Dance off!) Double Ts got 5th place overall, Neighborhood got first place overall, CoffeeMate got 2nd place overall and The Detroyers were third overall and in congeniality CoffeeMate was the winner! Crazy fun, and theres more to come, night everyone

Soma

And boy do I need some soma. As you probably know The Strokes can't work in the city because of me probably and so they left for California a week ago. AND I AM DYING. Dying not only because of the mountains of work I have but because next week is the summer bash festival at NBC they have every year (I wasn't home for the last two) and it's a lot of planning for the older players and I'm writing a lot of next year's sketches because they asked me to because Seth has been away for a lot of this summer and I can write a mean scene. But Jules isn't here. And it breaks my heart cause I miss him. But I'll see him soon, September 28th is when I'll see him again. He'll be in NYC for that weekend and then I'm flying out to him the 6-9 of October. He's gone for so long because they're working on their next album and need to crank it out with no distractions.

And I have one coping mechanism. Joseph Gordon-Levitt. He's been in town for a while now because of the new Batman movie and he's been great! Yeah we've been just hanging out...went swimming today and walked around the city doing nothing special. He's funny, he's teaching me how to drive...since I do not know how. I'm pretty lame I know, but I did just get my permit!! WOO! That's pretty stellar. Then we went back to my place and watched Casablanca (I know...Jules) because I've never seen it before and that is of course a travesty by itself. He's a good dude, you'll be hearing a lot more about him soon.

Disgust in Humanity

The Batman Massacre. They're calling it the Batman Massacre. Why Mr. James Holmes? Why'd you have to be a crazy motherfucker and destroy 12 lives and ruin 58 others. I'm reading all these people's stories...one girl's boyfriend took a bullet for her and now he's dead...another family had a wedding coming up...it's just awful. These poor people, well, I hope they get better soon and God bless those who died.

My Life is like Vacation

Yes Noel is living in NYC at the moment, Yes last week there was a NBC party in front of 30 Rock that was pink themed, Yes my filming for the I.T. Crowd is over, Yes you did just see Jules and I at the Memphis theatre (Shubert), No I am not going to college, No Seth is not leaving SNL for Live! With Kelly, Yes that was me on the cover of seventeen, Yes Andy is leaving SNL, Yes the Strokes are working on their next album and aren't performing at the moment, Yes Kristen and Fred are getting divorced, Yes Kristen cheated on him with Fab, Yes my Strokes life and my SNL life are really connected now, Yes my life is hectic, YES I'M FREAKING OUT THAT ANDY AND KRISTEN ARE GONE.

A much quicker way to answer questions. I got sent the cutest tumblr account (and NO for the 100,000,000th time, I am NOT making a tumblr account! There are so many fan ones just follow one of those, I like fuckyeahthestrokes.tumblr.com they chit chat about us a lot) it's nbcfanbucketlist.tumblr.com and it's pretty adorable. Become an NBC page! It's a fun job, I was in the elevator bank when the NBC tours ran into me and I took a bunch of pictures and signed autographs for 15 minutes. T'was a great reminder of how stressful SNL will be next year and how unprepared I am. Taking on the task of replacing Kristen, Andy, and possibly Jason...ugh I don't want to be me. Everyone is going to have to step up their game because ratings will plummet if the show isn't as funny as it was before. Kate better get her shit together because I don't know if Lorne will bring in new people again since Paul also left. Ugh Ugh Ugh. This is gonna be tough for the writers as well. But Kristen has so many movies that she's doing with people that she'll be alright without SNL.

I don't think I'll ever want to leave SNL. At least not now. My third year is next...wow. What a crazy experience that will be. I unfortunately do not think I'll be in Workaholics, the timing just wasn't right, I have a lot of work to do right now and it's just tough to take on another TV show.
